Downtown Las Vegas

Downtown Las Vegas has changed a lot throughout the years.

Sure there are still some grimy areas, however overall downtown Las Vegas has a certain appeal to it.

If you haven’t visited in a while, you will be very surprised at the changes that have occurred throughout the years.

For the most part, the old west feel has been replaced by a more hip atmosphere.

There’s lots of neon, both inside and out.  The Las Vegas strip, on the other hand, wants to present a more refined persona and has donw away with a lot of the glitzy neon, particular inside the casinos.

Nearly all of the downtown Las Vegas casinos now feature scantily clad gogo dancers, and the Fremont Street Experience has an array of ever-changing street performers.

There’s bikini bartenders that can be found at the outdoor casino bars and a host of dancers right outside many of the casinos.

Here is a list of the downtown Las Vegas Casinos and Hotels.

Under the Fremont Street canopy, there are exciting light and sound shows plus a number of outdoor stages featuring entertainment.

This fun atmosphere, as well the value that downtown Las Vegas affords, are two reasons why there is a segment of Las Vegas visitors who will only stay and play downtown.

They enjoy the restaurants, the much cheaper hotel rooms and the somewhat quaint vacationing experience that cannot be found on the Las Vegas Strip.

If you’ve never visited the downtown Las Vegas area, you might want to add it to your list of things of do.

Traditionally downtown Las Vegas is known for offering visitors an excellent value, in comparison to the deals you can obtain on Las Vegas strip. In recent years, that line has become a bit blurred with some of the Las Vegas strip hotel properties offering some fantastic deals.

Still, there are things offered downtown that are simply not available on the Las Vegas Strip.

You can actually walk around!

Long gone are the days when you could comfortably walk along the Las Vegas strip. Now there are walkways, to better protect pedestrians, however you do lose some of that “old world flavor” that Las Vegas once afforded.

Downtown, you can walk easily from casino to casino, enjoy an outdoor shopping area filled with kiosks or simply walk a short distance to east Fremont Street and enjoy the downtown nightlife.

The Downtown Las Vegas Casino are well-known for offering a big bang for your buck!
